Donors make incredible opportunities possible for Grinnell students—opening doors to transformative experiences both on and off campus. The Global Learning Program is just one way students are gaining a broader perspective, exploring the world, and applying their knowledge in real-world settings.

Thanks to a new partnership involving Craig Cooper, Dick Knapp ’76, the late Bob Hamilton and Rachel Bly ’93, the Beyer building now houses Hamilton Lofts, Hope Family Counseling and the Spoiled Dogs Company.

Robert Gehorsam ’76 might be called a modern renaissance man. His career has spanned the entire arc of digital platforms and entertainment from the infancy of interactive online experiences through the introduction of generative artificial intelligence. He sees teaching Entrepreneurship and Social Change at Grinnell College as an outgrowth of his career as a “professional mentor.”

A group of Grinnell alumni has created a fund to support a Mentored Advanced Project to study the history of concerts at Grinnell and Georgia Dentel, who made them possible.

Four Grinnell students are working with Professor Sarah Purcell ’92 to research the history of concerts at Grinnell. Their Mentored Advanced Project includes a focus on legendary Grinnell staff member Georgia Dentel.

Sarah Labowitz ’04 visited Grinnell to show her first feature-length documentary, Texas, USA (2023), and participate in a Q&A session with current students.
